Have you ever considered the value of your experiences?
You've gotten this far and you need to pat yourself on the back! NOW....what do you do with all those experiences you've accumulated over your lifetime? And where do you go from here?
You've had successes and you've had failures. You've had odd run ins with the unusual and you've witnessed the monotony of daily routines. But how do you turn all that experience into your future? Learn to thrive on experience and use it to your advantage.
You may or may not have a college education. There are hordes of very successful people who have not attended, much less graduated, from higher education. There actually are many people who are successful who never had the privilege of even securing a full high school education. That is not what determines where a person is or is going.
Every human has life experiences that they've learned from, grown from and stretched their boundaries out of. So, take your experiences and use them to your advantage. It's time to thrive on experience that you have under belt already.
Now what to do with those experiences!
Do you remember a great dream that you've had for your life? How close to achieving that pinnacle are you? If you haven't taken all the experiences you've had and started putting them towards this end, it's time. Both good and bad experiences have their worth in our lifetimes. Don't be ashamed of any of them and don't be arrogant about them either. But you've been placed on this earth for a purpose. Adding up all those experiences and using them to go forward is going to be a great advantage to take your next step. It's never too late to get started!
Start Journaling.
This is an excellent place to start. Don't think that you have to write a book today. That's not the kind of exercise I'm sharing. Get out some paper and a pen and start noting your thoughts. One or two words, sentences ... get the mind working. Journaling is an excellent exercise in keeping your brain at it's best and can be quite the lesson in just who you are and who you want to be.
You don't have to spend big money on a journal. It can be as simple as a spiral notebook to get started. Don't go overboard on this step. The big thing you want to do here is just get some thoughts and ideas on paper. Get the brain tuned in to where you want to be in a year or so. Just get started and you might be surprised what starts bubbling up inside there!
And Especially - have fun with this. Don't make it a chore or a grudge. Enjoy the adventure that opens up in front of you and use those ideas and images to build the life you desire.
