Is a good Mask Really Necessary in your skin care routine?

So you're really satisfied with your daily skincare regime. You honestly don't have the time or money or inclination to include a mask into your routine at this time. Let's look at a few reasons why you may want to reconsider and add a good mask into your schedule.

A good mask used on a regular basis can most definitely take your skin to the next level. A cleansing mask will not only get deep into your pores and clean out any impurities that are sitting in there, it also will gently exfoliate dead skin cells. Dead skin cells hang on to the surface through your natural oils and create a "dead space" on your skin. By exfoliating them, you bring out fresh new skin cells which are going to instantly give your skin a fresher more glowing appearance. It also will leave the appearance of smaller pores to give you a more smooth surface. You only would want to use it for one to two times per week so it's going to last you while delivering real results.

An exfoliating mask will take this one task and go a bit further. It's going to do the heavy work of clearing out the dead skin cells, cleaning out excess sebum and impurities. An added feature that many exfoliating masks deliver is a great mixture of ingredients that will ensure your skin is replenished with moisture. These double duty products can really elevate your skin care appearance. These masks can normally be used pretty often but if your skin is feeling sensitive or raw, you may want to pull back a bit.

Another form of mask is moisturizing. YES...just a power pack of nutrients that are going to feed your skin on the surface and absorb deep into the layers to deliver needed extra moisturizer. Moisturizer can be very beneficial in fighting the signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles. But it also can help greatly with breakouts and acne. Many times these issues are caused by lack of moisturizer and your skin produces too much natural oil that attracts impurities and clogs your pores. Cleaning and moisturizing can avoid both of these easily.
